Circle Graphics has worked on several First Nations branding, design and development projects, leveraging the latest technologies while minding cultures and traditions.

Sto:lo Website

Challenge

Sto:lo needed its website to be inclusive of all Nations represented, while reflecting ‘traditional’ visual elements. Moreover, the structure and navigation needed to better describe categories and options.

Approach

Our creative crew incorporated traditional native design elements and textures throughout the site, including everything from earth tone colour schemes to buttons shaped like drums. The website structure and information was simplified and streamlined in logical hierarchies to promote positive user experiences. Also, all of the Nations’ logos were added on the bottom of each page for complete representation.

Results

The attention to the visual elements and overall tone was well received by the First Nations audiences, who felt it represented them well. Also, the streamlined site architecture makes it easier for visitors to find and access information relevant to their specific needs, both via mobile and desktop.

Sto:lo Finance Website

Challenge

The Sto:lo finance website, which helps First Nations with finance, housing, financial assistance and education resources, didn’t deliver a credible image and lacked several elements necessary to provide visitors adequate assistance.

Approach

Our designers and developers brought in several design elements from the main Sto:lo website to provide a consistent online brand experience. Colour coded components were used to signify areas of the site, along with other helpful visual cues and images.

Results

The finance website gained a corporate look and feel to foster credibility and trust, and the newly designed elements significantly improved the user experience for each of the services provided.

Sto:lo nations creations

Challenge

An ecommerce site was required to showcase and sell Sto:lo products, ranging from jewellery and etched glass to CDs and coffee.

Approach

Our creative team built a site resembling the main Sto:lo website to provide audiences a consistent brand experience, and worked with the team to arrange categories and product lines.

Results

The online store, which is easy for the client to manage, also makes it easy and convenient for dealers to browse through and purchase a complete range of products to stock their stores with.
